it's been a minute

What's up everyone,

It's been a while since you've heard from me on here, and honestly, on YouTube too. I just posted my first video in 59 days, so shoutout to everyone who tapped in.

Wanted to put this update into writing before updating the broader community via YouTube. Some of you might have seen teasers on Instagram or X, or maybe even heard about it in person. But, these last three months have been the most chaotic of my life so far so I wanted to share some updates with you.

In April, I offhandedly applied to a startup accelerator. Spent maybe five minutes on the application, didn't think much of it. Twenty-four hours later, one interview, and I was in. The program started in ten days and was on the other side of the continent. San Francisco.

I was scared. I had no tech company, and not even a project to work on. Looking back, I genuinely have no idea why my application made it through but I knew I had to go just to see things for myself.

I was stressed, to say the least. But opportunities like this don't come around very often, and every single monumental decision in my life, has always felt the same way: incredibly scary. To go to SF and accept the program, I'd have to terminate all my production studio contracts, drop my brand partnerships, and effectively reduce my income to $0 for the foreseeable future.

So of course, I booked my ticket.

Time moves differently in SF. That much is true. I'd been to SF before, tech, AI, the Golden Gate Bridge. But like, what was I actually doing there?

Luckily I mentioned to two of my good friends that I was heading west for a bit and encouraged them to apply as well. In typical fashion they waited until the very last day (maybe even the last hour) to submit their application… we made plans to link up in SF.

TLDR: Over the next five weeks, we made a plan and got to work. We had all burned a few boats to get there. I terminated my ongoing projects, put my upload schedule on hold. They wound down their involvement at their previous company. All so we could pour fifteen-hour days into building this new thing together.

The new thing? We're building Space.

We spent the last two months building Space to solve a very specific problem for creatives: solo creators, teams, production studios, anyone who has ever dealt with the pain of transferring files, running out of storage, or literally taping an SSD to the back of their MacBook just to edit a video. We built our MVP, shipped it and immediately started to get interest from creators, startups, teams, and investors.

Now, I don't want to give everything away just yet. We have some big announcements coming soon as we move closer to a proper launch.
